Bonjour à tous! (Hello all) Since I'll be spending my spring 2008 semester in Tours, France, I decided that a blog would be the easiest way to let everybody know what I've been up to. So that's what this will be... I'll do my best to update every so often - no guarantees, though. I'll write in English, of course, even though I'll be speaking French all the time during the semester.

So here's where things stand:
My flight to Paris leaves from Newark on January 4. The professor in residence will supposedly then meet us at the airport and we'll all go by bus to Tours, where I'll be living with a host family. Classes don't start right away, but when they do, I'm supposed to be taking 2.5 credits of French (which will complete a French minor for me) and hopefully two electrical engineering courses. I'm a little nervous about the engineering classes, since they'll be in French, and I'll be the first Bucknell student to take engineering courses at the French university. So we'll see how that goes.

This week has been (and will be) quite busy, since I have a bunch of different appointments and want to spend time with my friends here and pack at the same time. If all goes as planned, next time I'll be writing from France!
